Lot 1103 Ithaca Model 37R 12 GA. #49395
American made 'Featherweight' pump action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, manufactured circa 1941 in Ithaca, NY. It features a blued finish with an approximately 24 1/2" ribbed barrel, ivory bead front sight, 5 round tube magazine, Poly Choke adjustable choke, smooth curved trigger, water fowl scenes etched on receiver, 14" length-of-pull, and push button safety on the trigger guard. Action is smooth and crisp. The walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip buttstock with checkering at the wrist, checkered forearm, serrated black plastic buttplate, and factory grip cap. Bore appears excellent and bright. Wood is good showing a few scratches, small dings, and thinned finish on the buttstock with patchy blemishes. The original blued finish retained is about 96%, with minor edge wear, and some superficial scratches. The metal displays small traces of rust along the barrel rib from receiver to muzzle, and a small patch of rust on the barrel about an inch from the adjustable choke. The action is smooth and crisp.
